In recent weeks, the state Department of Health Services’ Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) announced that it is launching a new online portal for health and residential care providers to use for licensure/certification, background checks, plan reviews, among other matters. As of December 15, 2025, various providers, including assisted living facilities, will be required to use this system. In the future, hospices, nursing homes, hospitals and other providers will also be required to use this online portal.
